Llangunllo in the snow: (Jan 2015).
The village is seen here, snow-covered and nestling in the Powys hills.

Located seven miles west of Knighton in Powys, the school is situated next to the church in the unspoilt village of Llangunllo.

The Victorian stone building was the village school from 1862 until 1982, and there is ample free parking on site in what was originally the school playground. We are just a short walk from a lovely traditional pub, the Greyhound, in the village centre.

Knighton is our nearest town, where you will find shops, pubs, petrol station, hotels and restaurants. The historic market towns of Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Hereford are all about one hour’s drive from the school.

There is a railway station on the outskirts of the village . The station is called Llangynllo, and is on the ‘Heart of Wales’ line which has direct links to Shrewsbury and Swansea. If you are travelling by rail, this will probably be the final stage of your journey.

For those flying to the UK, the following airports are all less than a two and a half hours' drive away and can be accessed by rail and road: Birmingham, Cardiff, Bristol, Manchester and Liverpool.
